The Montgomery County African Affairs Advisory Group (AAAG) in collaboration with the “Coalition to End Ebola” in West Africa, which includes: The Maryland Governor’s Commission on African Affairs, Maryland-Liberia Sister State Committee, African Women Council, MDP-Continental African Leadership Council, Miss Africa USA Pageant, and the African Women Cancer Awareness Association, is holding a conference on Ebola with the theme:  “Ebola: Get Informed, Get Involved"

Fenton Street Urban Park Public Art Replacement Project
The public is invited to attend the presentation of proposals for the Fenton Street Urban Park Public Art Replacement Project. Semifinalists will present their proposals to the Selection Committee and the public and they will answer questions at this public meeting. Semi finalists will have 20 minutes to present their proposal individually and discretely; semi finalists will not be presenting in front of each other. This public art project is intended to replace Criss Cross, a sculpture that was removed from the public road right-of-way on Fenton Street. More HERE.

B&O RR STAION OPEN HOUSE
Free Open House at the Silver Spring B&O Railroad Station! The Silver Spring Historical Society and Montgomery Preservation Inc. sponsor this monthly free public open house at the historic Silver Spring B&O Railroad Station.  Limited free parking is available in front of the station with ample street parking and a parking garage available nearby. The railroad station is also an easy four-block walk from the Silver Spring Metro station.
